When it comes to living sustainably, Valeria Hinojosa is definitely trying her best. Valeria Hinojosa is a lifestyle blogger who is passionate about sustainability. The popular lifestyle blogger has been documenting her journey towards a more sustainable lifestyle on her blog and social media channels for years, and she’s slowly but surely making progress. She’s always looking for ways to reduce her impact on the environment, and composting is one of her favorite methods.
One of the things she’s most proud of is her composting setup – she’s managed to reduce her food waste significantly by composting all her organic scraps. “I love composting because it’s such a simple way to reduce waste,” she says. “And it’s really gratifying to see your food scraps turn into rich, nutrient-dense soil.” Composting was one of the first sustainability challenges she took on. “It was definitely not as easy as I thought it would be,” she says. “I had to learn what could and couldn’t be composted, and it took a lot of trial and error.” But in the end, she says, it was worth it. “I felt good knowing that I was doing my part to reduce food waste.”
Hinojosa has also been trying to use more reusable products, like shopping bags and water bottles. But she admits that it’s been a bit of a challenge, especially when it comes to finding affordable and convenient alternatives. “I definitely think there’s still room for improvement when it comes to reusables,” she says. “But I’m hopeful that we’ll continue to see more progress in this area.” Though this was not a walk in the park for Hinojosa. “I really wanted to switch to reusable straws and water bottles, but I found it hard to find ones that I liked,” she says. “And when I did find some that I liked, they were often more expensive than the disposable ones.” But she persevered, and now she’s happy with her reusable products. “I feel good knowing that I’m not contributing to the problem of plastic pollution.”
Finally, she decided to take the plunge and buy an electric car. “I was a little worried about range anxiety – would I be able to get where I needed to go without running out of charge?” she says. But so far, she’s been pleasantly surprised. “I’ve been able to go farther than I thought on a single charge, and there are more and more charging stations popping up all the time.”
Hinojosa says it’s been a great experience so far. But she’s had some trouble finding charging stations when she’s out and about. “It would be nice if there were more charging stations available, especially in rural areas,” she says. “But overall, I’m really happy with my electric car.”
Hinojosa is always looking for new ways to live sustainably, and she encourages others to do the same. “Sustainability is important for all of us,” she says. “It’s not just about saving the planet – it’s about improving our own lives as well.”
If you’re interested in living a more sustainable lifestyle, Hinojosa recommends starting with small changes. “Every little bit helps,” she says. “So don’t be afraid to start composting or using reusable products. Every step in the right direction is a step in the right direction.”
